Dr Saliba Sassine
Founder and Managing Director
Dr Sassine is a highly experienced executive across corporate finance, merchant capital as well as serving as Chairman or Managing Director of a number of public and private companies across biotechnology and pharmaceuticals, telecommunications, natural products and resources. Dr Sassine has served as Senior Ministerial Advisor at State Government level and was also advisor at National level. He chaired a number of government working parties and committees, including representing Western Australian on the National Prices and Incomes Advisory Committee. He has served on the Senate and Council of two universities in Western Australia and served as Chairman of the Perth Theatre Trust which controlled the major performance venues in the State with around $1 billion in assets. Saliba has a First Class Honours Degree from the University of Western Australia and is a Doctor of Philosophy from the same university.

Laurie is a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Courts of Western Australia, South Australia and the High Court of Australia who has had over 38 years’ experience in business, including about 20 years in full-time legal practice mostly as principal of a medium size legal firm specialising in mineral resource company start-ups and listings.
Laurie’s experience includes Start-ups, M&A, Strategic Marketing, IPO/RTO, Consolidation and Integration in several industries.
Laurie holds law degrees and an Executive MBA from the University of Western Australia and a Master of Mediation and Conflict Resolution from the University of South Australia.
Elias Michael Farah, B.Eng.
Director S.E. Asia & Middle East
Mr Farah is BlueMount Capital (WA)’s specialist in the energy and mineral sector, bringing a wealth of experience to the investment banking team. He is an accomplished commercial and globally experienced Business Leader with a verifiable 38-year track record of success progressing to Vice President level in game-changing commercial business development and project leadership roles.
Mr Farah has proven abilities in shaping and executing high-yield growth strategies; combining deep industry insights and technical acumen with exceptional commercial skills. Experienced in leading matrix teams across Malaysia, UAE and Australia; balancing risk and reward to deliver ground-breaking contracts and drive revenue/EBIT growth beyond expectations amidst challenging market conditions.
Mr Farah has worked at QP/BP in the Middle East and Chevron in Australia, predominately in project management and development. He also worked for Technip, Bumi Amada and NPCC, managing tendering and commercial activities for mega-projects around the world.
Director Fixed Income
Sebastian has a background in global fixed income with 21 years’ experience in global financial markets both in Europe and Australia. He was previously a Director of Fixed Income at FIIG securities in Sydney. Prior to that he worked in London for 12 years where he structured and managed multiple fixed income hedge funds, having been responsible for investment process development and investment strategy from concept stage through to implementation, ongoing portfolio management, trading, and investment research.
Whilst in London Sebastian was a portfolio manager at City Financial Investment Company where he managed their liquid high yield fixed income fund and was a portfolio manager and investment committee member at Fair Oaks Capital, a credit fund manager. Previously Sebastian was a partner and senior portfolio manager at Wiltshire Capital Partners LLP, a European focused event driven credit fund management business.
Sebastian Ashton studied mathematics and physics at the University of Queensland and computer science and management studies at the Queensland University of Technology where he graduated with a Bachelor of Business Degree. He holds a Masters’ degree in Data Science from James Cook University, a Masters’ degree in Applied Finance & Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia and is a CFA charter holder.
Director Fixed Income
Ruby has more than 18 years of sales, trading, and syndication experience in global fixed income markets. She has had deep exposure in G7 government bonds, financial and corporate credit, ESG linked, distressed, structured note, private placement and private debt. Focused on Asian, Japanese, and Australian credit, Ruby has covered institutional clients in APAC including Australia. She previously worked with numerous buy side and sell side financial institutions including Fidelity, CBA, SMBC Nikko and Nomura, specialised in providing trading ideas direct to C-level portfolio managers.
Director Fixed Income
William has held senior management roles with multiple private companies in the past decade. He has extensive experience in areas including capital solutions, fixed income product, structured investments, alternative investments and operations. He started his career in foreign exchange (FX) and in the structured products industry, then continued his professional career in assisting various companies with designing and executing private credit products and sourcing investments. He also worked with various HNW and UHNW individuals as their personal investment counsellor and played key roles in managing the personal and family wealth of these contacts.
Recently William has been focused on a $45m syndicated deal for an enterprise in the technology area, working out a comprehensive solution to support the company regarding finance, from funding its daily operations to leading it to listing on the ASX and SGX.
At BlueMount Capital, William’s focus is on establishing collaborations between the buy-side and the sell-side, with the aim to engage HNW, UHNW and institutional investors from the APAC region, as well as through the European financial hubs such as Guernsey and Luxembourg.
William is based in Melbourne and holds Master of Business (Banking and Finance) and Master of Applied Finance from Monash University.

Mr Denton is a business development professional with over 20 years of commercial experience in the financial services industry, capital raising, private equity funding, pre-IPO, venture capital, real estate, mining, M&A, management consulting and project execution.
Mr. Denton has been a director and advisor to Australian, Asian and African companies’ growth and development opportunities with a history of creating internal and external long-term value in a broad range of industries.
Executive Consultant, Business Development
Allan Thompson is a highly experienced executive in both the private and public sectors. He has an extensive range of experiences at Commonwealth and State Government level, including in Treasury, central agencies and Ministerial offices. He has deep understanding of Commonwealth and State Government departmental operations, including in the area of Native Title.
Allan has worked in the private sector in a national business development capacity for Skilled Group, covering the oil & gas, mining and construction sectors. Allan’s commercial experience includes significant exposure to business start-ups, particularly in the technology sector. Allan has been and continues to be involved in the non-profit sector and serves on several boards including at Chairperson level.
Allan provides extensive strategy, business development, project management, marketing and commercial experience to BlueMount clients, enabling them to leverage his multi-sector contact base and capabilities, as part of BlueMount’s service offerings. Allan is a a graduate of the University of Western Australia, with First Class Honours in Economics.

Mr Chowdhury is a highly experienced business executive with a wealth of experience in trade finance, bond market, equities, securities, banking, funds management and M&A.
Mr Chowdhury has been involved as a founder entrepreneur of textile, milling, mild steel pipe manufacturing, IT Products and essential commodities trading for nearly 15 years. Mr Chowdhury has worked extensively in the South Asia markets with deep experience and connections in Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

Mr. Sherief M.A. Rahman is a career investment banker and an immediate past CEO of BRAC EPL Stock Brokerage Limited, widely recognized and acclaimed as a leader in the Bangladesh Capital Market. Mr Rahman was instrumental in bringing in several foreign portfolio investors into Bangladesh and as Managing Director of BRAC EPL, he led the development of the group’s market structure for retail investors.
Over the past 20 years Mr. Rahman’s career included success and high achievements in investment banking and broking businesses involving local and foreign companies. Mr. Rahman has Bachelors’ and Masters’ degree in Management from Dhaka University and an MBA (Major in Finance) from East West University. He has worked in various roles with leading corporates and conglomerates in Bangladesh including Apex Group, Abdul Monem Group, Brummer & Partners Asset Management (Bangladesh), AB Bank, PERIGRINE Capital, Equity Partner, National Life Insurance Company and BRAC, where he spent about 11-years as CEO role and over 10-years in senior management roles.
Yuan (Sophia) Gao
Ms. Gao is an experienced investment manager in China previously filling that role at CITIC Medical & Health Group Co. Ltd. where she was mainly engaged in medical and health investments. Prior to that she was Vice President for Marketing and Risk Control at CCB International (China) Limited. She was also a Senior Associate at Chum Investment Corporation, one of China’s most successful privately-owned merchant banks. Ms Gao started her career as an Assistant Manager in the Audit Department in KPMG Beijing. She is a graduate of the School of Management at Renmin University of China and the Central University of Finance and Economics.
Giancarlo (John) Meazzo

Based in Los Angeles, Giancarlo is a highly experienced finance executive having serviced as CFO and Director of Finance at a number of Fortune 500 Companies in the USA. Giancarlo has worked across a number of sectors, including hospital and medical care and a large hospital chain with more than US$2 billion in revenue. He has also worked in insurance for multi-billion dollar group Great American Insurance Company. Giancarlo has been involved in corporate and finance structuring and financings, including corporate finance work for American Funds Service and the Investment Company of America Group of Mutual Funds. He has A.A. and M.A. degrees in accounting and management.
